This was new to me when I tripped over it a coupla weeks ago. A rare look at the band working it out on a few tunes before starting their run at this venue.
Especially interesting to me is when they keep hitting a rough patch in Stella Blue, and Jerry keeps calling a halt to things till they get it right.

Mickey looks like he's in the witness protection program. "Hide him with the hippies, Sgt. Friday, they'll never look there."

His look IS comic; I almost commented on it in my original post. The visor, aviator shades, 'stache and hair .... reminds me of the Spy vs. Spy comics they used to have in Mad Magzine- those two guys that were always blowing each other up.

Cool link, nice behind-the-scenes glimpse. On a non-musical note, I like Donna's casual style and laid back attitude in this video, I don't have much sense of her stage presence, but she seems to have some charisma in this video. She gets a lot of criticism but from 76-78 I think she sounded good in most contexts.

Thanks for posting;

Sounds more like a show compared to a "sound check"

In actuality, 08/13/75 had a similar vibe.

Yeah. Seeing Jerry SO engaged, and in charge of the sound, directing others, etc. is neat. As you say, I can't think of too many other peeks behind-the-scene like this one.
